    Hello

I've been trying lately to find the way to make my phpbb forum SE friendly.

I've come across Able2Know mod, but that one doesn't change the URL to include the title. Would anyone happen to know how to do it?

    Thanks!

I have been using the able2know mod and with good results. After searching for the mod that you want, I realized that I could not find it.

It has to do with rewrite functions in .htaccess, but I don't know how to do it :(

The Able2Know MOD includes an option for mod_rewrite, if that's what you want. I don't advise it though. It's unnecessary. See various threads in the phpBB and vBulletin forum here at DigitalPoint for more information and discussion on this issue.

i agree with minstrel making the pages static (.html) can cause more harm then good.

just make sure you remove the session ids and you will be fine.

I don't know about that. I think several other components also greatly help with either spidering or indexing:

absolutely - vBulletin has a free addon program called IMPEX that will import your current phpbb board into vBulletin. Ive done it a few times and its easy. And I did it on forums with 100,000 posts.

If your thinking about vBulletin - come to my site - vBulletin Webmaster - people there can help you through all of that kind of stuff.

You can get some really good SEO with phpBB, far better than you can get from VB unless you fork out the $160 for VBSEO.

Thats totally not true. vBulletin does just fine SEO wize out of the box. With some minor tweaks its even better. Ive argued against the necessity of vbseo many times.
