phpBB question ?

    Hi,

    I have a forum mariotalk.com that works on the above format. I am having major problems with spam and I have been told that this script does not have the facility to view a posting before giving it the O.K. is this true and if so, are there any other free scripts better than phpBB ?

    Yeah, I use PhpBB and I seriously have ZERO spam and it is a fairly active forum. we just implemented a registration system where it asks you random questions and you must answer it correctly. We rotate 6 questions at random and we change them often. The questions are very simple like "what is the 3rd letter in America?"

    Works like a charm. Also, you can turn on admin approval for all new accounts as well. ;) Or make it so only registered users can post in the forum (that will keep out the guest bots)
