Phpbb - Page load time too long

    Hi,

The page load time of my index.php is too long, it's about 10 seconds. I have replaced index.php and index_body.tpl with the original ones but I've got the same results. No other pages take so much time for loading.

Can you help to find the problem?

    Thanks.

WOW --- I would help if I could - but I dont know PHPBB whatsoever. I wonder if you have a hack thats not functioning and timing out. I use vBulletin and consider it far superior to PHPBB -

I have applied some mods on it, but everything seems working fine.

thats why I never bothered with it. Some people like to test the waters with a new forum by using a freebie -not me. If I am going to do it im dedicated 100% from the start.

I know - sorry. IM almost betting you have a script thats causing this. Your other pages seem fine. So its something thats only on the index page.

I appretiate people's efforts, who are willing to make a free open source bulletin board. That's why I like phpbb.

I think there is a corrupt code on index page, but I couldn't find it. Maybe using html validators can help me.

This mod uses mod_rewrite and can be implemented on other boards. It's not special for phpBB.

Anyway, any other suggestions for my problem?

    phpBB rocks :)

I dont call that a few mods. Id be willing to bet you that those mods have something to do with it.

Try installing the Extreme Styles mod, it caches the page so it doesn't have to recompile them, which speeds it up quite a bit.

Josh, it's not a basic phpBB board, it's a prehacked board called Orion. So I did not installed the mod manually. I've only made some code changes like coop ads or redesigns, after I've installed it.
