    Hi guys!

Just trying to install phpbb through fantastico (supposed to be simple hey?!)

Anyway, I have installed it now on takethepiste.com and it doesnt seem to be showing.... I have had a look in my ftp for the files and they dont seem to be appearing either.

I have de-installed and installed again but no success. Has anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hello there,

I suggest you contact your host regarding this issue, as they would be best suited to answer these questions, all we can do is speculate.

are there any errors during installation?

any forum needs a database to insert data

fantastico can't help you in creating a database

however, your issue seems different to me (as you have said that there are no files when you checked through ftp)

raise a support ticket and wait for an answer from your hosting support

if there was no errors and you don't see the files..make sure you are checking the correct directory that you pointed it to install on the fantastico interface. IE: looking in the public_html folder when you installed it in /public_html/phpbb

You can just extract zip file in directory (/public_html/forum) where you want to install and access that URL (domain.com/forum). It would be easiest way to install phpBB. I also did the same though I have fantasico access from hostgator.
