phpBB Communities shut down

    After only owning it for about seven months it seems Jonathan has decided to shut the site down, a notice appeared there a few hours ago saying it had been sold for $1275 and the database was going to be deleted.

    From PR4 site to shut down in seven months must be a record surely

    It seems it was a community using PHPBB software just like DP using vBulletin software.

    I'm not sure how this is relevant to the DP members, unless it was one of the major sites with a great deal of resources.

    I have no idea what that site is (or was in this case). Nor do I have any idea why you thought it would be a good idea to bring it up here @ DP forums.

    $1200 for phpbbcommunities? He got sold short hard for sure. I wonder why the buyer shut it down completely rather than continued to profit from the traffic?
