phpBB BBCode Not Working

I can't get it to work on a phpBB3 forum. I have made sure BBCode is enabled. It will create the hyperlink if you link to the URL normally, but not when I use the the bbcode url tag. Any ideas?

When I post it says BBCode is on. Does that mean it's globally enabled?

 

Im pretty sure (if I remember correctly) that in the general settings then post settings there's an option that says something like:

"Allow URLs to be posted"

Try that, im sorry im not giving you the exact location/details however I don't remember 100% myself and I don't have my phpBB board anymore although I know there's an option like that.

Yeah I got that, but the option above I believe controls the URL bbcode

 

In the post settings, there is this option.

Allow links in posts/private messages:
If disallowed the BBCode tag and automatic/magic URLs are disabled. But it was already set to Yes.

 

Hm that's what I was referring to. If it's enabled them they should work. I guess the only thing I can suggest now is to make sure the permissions are set to yes.

Sorry I couldn't solve your issue, if I had my phpBB board in front of me I could probably be of more assistance, but unfortunately I had to get rid of it.
