What is the difference between MODs and extensions? I personally think that phpbb looks kind of outdated and i am going to switch my site to XenForo.
I asked phpbb the difference and was told "MODs only work on version 3.0.x and require you to do manual code edits making your updates more difficult. Extensions are for version 3.1.x and higher and are completely self-contained making them very easy to install and remove again if you wish." I know this is late, but might help others who come here hoping to get an answer
