It should be under the setup instructions if you log into your account.

Don't forget to update your phpBB to a newer version because of that strange worm...

It can't be stressed *STRONGLY* enough :)

You must upgrade your phpbb to 2.0.11 otherwise you may fall foul of script kiddies with the more recent exploits etc. The exploits are stupidly simple, so there's plenty of em at it right now (I've logged a number of attempts recently).

Just a bit of a friendly nudge for you John - I'd hate to see you on the 'hacked' thread. ;)

    Cheers,

    JL

There appears to be a new version of Santy out this morning with a modified User-Agent:

You have three options while upgrading phpBB:

    1. Full Package
    2. Changed Files Only
    3. Patch File Only

Except if you have a Mod involving session ids, only #1 will work correctly (For this update) ;)

Hmmm... which revision had that problem?

It would probably be easier to use option 2 or 3 and handle the session ID mod seperately. No?

For example, you could choose option 2 and then just re-install the session id mod. No?

(Disclaimer: I am not so good with phpBB.)

You would have to first reverse the Sessions Mod and a lot of people wouldn't know how to do that (Minstrel being an exception of course)...The new update messed up one of my boards so on the other one I just did a fresh install..moved all the posts, etc and then re-added the Mods

Of course I have like 5 Mods so it wasn't a big deal.

Its the people with 50 Mods that are getting pushed to vB more and more
