    Just so you have another alternative, check out my WordBay WordPress plugin. Not maybe as full of features as the other solutions, but it IS free :)

    At the end of the day though, it's about making the site your own and making it good quality...

    Both PhpBay and BANS are good builder to set up eBay affiliate websites for total newbie. Having said that, the success of your sites do not depend on the builder you use, but how you promote the sites.
    All you need are hot niche(where people are buying) and targetted traffic(visitors ready to buy) to profit from your sites.

    Could be BANS with wordpress and etc., could just be wordpress, hand built, or something else. If you gave me a site, I could tell you what I thought. Buty you could incorporate those 5 into any of those scripts.
