I'm working on building another phpBay site when I went to wiredstudios.com and noticed phpBay pro 2.4 was just released today which includes the new ebay partner network. I've already installed it on the site and minus the eBay network I don't see any changes. Nicely done GTech!
Go to: http://www.wiredstudios.com/store/ and click on My Account and login, from there you can download the new version.
Never used BANS - I have though been using phpBay for some time now and been very pleased with it. BTW - phpBay 2.5 has just been released.
My vote is for PHPBay Pro. It is a great script and it is for Wordpress so you can do just about anything with it.
I've got 2.5 and already registered with Ebay Partner Programme, but in the Phpbay Pro Wordpress section it asks for: Enter Your Ebay PID (or Campaign ID) Where would I find this info? I can't find it on the Ebay Partner site?
To get a Campaign ID please log in to your eBay Affiliate account, click on the button named “Campaignsâ€, then click on “Create Campaignâ€
I noticed that with the latest version, 2.4, if you leave the campaign as 'Default Campaign', it does not work. I think it is the space that is causing problems. So setting it to a single word resolved it for me. Did any anyone else experience this problem?
Yes, this was identified yesterday afternoon. I released 2.5 in response, which is available for download now and resolves the issue. I do apologize for the inconvenience. When I was testing, I used "testing" as the Custom ID and all worked fine. I did not account for the space in the Custom ID. It's fixed now. An account that is disabled is usually due to violating the licensing agreement. For example, selling sites with phpBay Pro installed.
Can't wait to get home and get my pro script updated. Still lacking on the technique for loading onto stand alone php site. Working great on my blog. Does anyone know if the new revision will work on WP blogs that haven't upgraded to WP 2.5 yet?
Awesome script. I like it a lot better than BANS, at least initially. My affiliate link just shows up as plain, non-clickable text at the bottom of the site, though. I just put it in my Blogroll so it would be clickable.
