I'm having some issues with this, I bought a script, and nobody could get it to install, I started looking around. Something made me, after several trip into the code upgrade my php to 5.2.0 I was 4.3?, and shortly discovered the software would install. ah working, but after about 300 link installed (directory) I started getting sql errors. We come to the conclusion that the script was call to many activities at one time, so I upgraded the ram 125mb. Errors slowed down to one every cron job. I'm dealing with it now, I'm not getting 50 links in 3-4 hrs. Now I have a site I bought here, and works fine,when I saw it. I've taken it to my VPS uploaded. It has google ads along with rss news feeds,and amazon with a nice XML error: Invalid character at line 230. The footer doesn't show on the index page,but does show on the others pages without the feed on them. The site has worked on php version 4.4.4 installed. There's probably not enough info to help the error!! BUT Should I take my php version back to 4.3? something until the higher version get more compatabiile with each other? I have more sites working well, but if I'm running into version problems with the higher version, I'm sure I'll run into more script operating on lower php version. Should I jump back or stay? The directory site I'll have to reinstall with 600+ links on. I think.. Thanks All.
