You can try oscommerce, it's powerful but it's also very simple if you're not gonna use advanced functionalities.

I tried OScommerce,and I used it for a few of my projects.
It does looks like a complete overkill for what I am trying to achieve.
I was just wondering if there is anything simpler and more lightweight.I am planning to accept paypal only.

 

Well Paypal provides a shopping cart, you just have to copy/paste the code they provide you (I didn't try it personnally, but it seems to be easy to use).

If what you're looking for is just a shopping cart to add on your already existing site, this is the best solution

Visit phppig.org and try out PigCommerce. It is very lightweight and also allows Google Checkout payment method if you choose to turn it on.

It should work very efficiently for you.

 

i like zen cart alot. Used it on a few sites in the past.

 

I'd second the OScommerce suggestions.

 

I'm looking for something that works WITH Paypal directly, very light weight.

It should basically calculate shipping and volume discounts for just a few products, and then send the buyer off to Paypal to finish the sale. Preferably without JavaScript, as that can fail, and you always need something server-side (PHP).
