hey well i have been programming PHP for quiet a long time now, and the time has come for me to code my own shop. I was thinking how hard would it be to pass the variables holding the price and details into a checkout like paypal for the order to be processed ?

I don't know about PHP, but I recently developed this flash cart, and sending the info to paypal is the easy part. The hardest is to keep track of your cart. There are about 600 lines of code in this application, of which only about 20 for sending the vars to paypal.

If you want to have multiple categories, with multiple items in them, you need to use arrays in flash, I think you can use arrays in php too.

 

yeah i know how to use arrays and all that i just wondered if paypal will only allow you to send the price and description to the paypal ipn. where as i will need it to send the address details aswel ?

thanks for the link, that link is just for passing the variables to the customers sign up page, but i need a way for me to receive there delivery details once they have payed. ?

so will paypal be able to collect the Invoice Address and the Delivery Address ? how would i go about doing this.

 

Can you not ask the client to fill in their details in the shop, then pass the info to paypal along with prices and stuff.

I realised my previous link was info to pre-populate the sign up, but there must be a similar way to just pass info for the seller's attention.

thanks alot just what i was looking for, just wanted to know if i can pass the delivery details to paypal with item and cost and i can with those vars
