Before I start working on it I wanted to get a second opinion...
One of my sites is currently using SMF forum and I wanted to integrate a second script into the site. The second script already has its own login database but I was thinking of commenting the script sessions out and using SMFs.

Would you guys think this is the easiest way of joining the two sites?

It's always easier to have one applications system cease & adopt the others.

An alternative would be using something like OpenID and moving both systems to the third-party system. Does SMF have an OpenID plugin/extension already ?

its not a custom made script...
if that were the case I would of had it done with SMF integration...
