Mmmm... sarahk, I think I need to make a bit of a tweak on the language that you used there. You said: I'd say: Naturally we can't get the 'smarts' of your site... what drewbe121212 was saying was that he could get the HTML output, which is what Ticcaso is attempting to hide from the user. Everyone is in agreement that, save for a security problem with your server, you can't get a person's original PHP script code by any means.
my question is why would you want to hide your code??? what's wrong if someone copies it or steals it?.... the creations of artists only happens when the process of stealing and copying is in the process.... as pablo picasso said.... "good artists copy. great artists steal."...... jus my 2 cents, btw -steve
There's no completely hiding HTML code... the way it works is this... My browser says to your HTTP daemon, "give me the code to render." If your HTTPD doesn't then spit out the code, then there is no website for me to view My best idea is to have as your new source, a JavaScript routine, because you can have it decrypt and then write your source to a document that's already finished downloading, client-side. This will keep out anyone that doesn't know how to crack a code.
if they are that determined then they will get it. NOTHING online is 100% secure. Ask Bill Gates and my mate Raphy http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1434530.stm
Like it was said before a client cannot view your PHP source, unless your server does not have PHP on it. You cannot hide your HTML/JavaScript/CSS or anything clientside..no matter what you do. No idea why you want to disable right clicking but you can do that with Javascript not PHP.
i am a NEWBIE at PHP thats why i made a index with frames of PHP xD and i made 80 files each haveing EXACTLY 15 KB and funny names and only 2 have good scripts the others are the scripts that i modyfied so it would look the same but they dont really work xD is there a way to make a framed window with php?
yuh see.. the fact is that i have 78 FAKE scripts and 2 good ones and all of them are beeing opened in invisible frames <FRAME SRC="phps/aleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/aright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/atop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/bleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/bright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/btop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/cleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/cright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ctop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/dleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/dright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/dtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/eleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/eright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/etop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/fleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/fright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ftop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/gleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/gright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/gtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/hleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/hright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/htop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ileft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/iright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/itop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/jleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/jright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/jtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/kleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/kright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ktop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/lleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/lright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ltop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/mleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/mright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/mtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/nleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/nright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ntop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/oleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/oright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/otop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/pleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/pright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ptop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/qleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/qright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/qtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/rleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/rright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/rtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/sleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/sright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/stop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/tleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/tright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ttop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/uleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/uright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/utop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/vleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/vright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/vtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/wleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/wright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/wtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/xleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/xright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/xtop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/yleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/yright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ytop.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/zleft.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/zright.php" scrolling="NO"> <FRAME SRC="phps/ztop.php" scrolling="NO"> all of them have exactly the same size wouldnt yuh be bored of searching 80 encrypted sources ?
Duh, PHP is on the server, the right mouse click is on the browser. PHP doesn't run on the browser. Anything you send to the browser now "belongs" to the surfer. Just what are you trying to protect anyway? Maybe you should be using Flash which protects the sourse more effectively (however anyone worth their salt can crack that too)
my scripts were stolen alot of times (back then i used HTML now i wanna try PHP xD) so i dont like my work to be stolen its just not fair yuh see.. at first there was this script but it had a BIG problem then another 2 came only cuz' they just copyed the script(at first i tryed to copy there scripts but i couldnt, anyway they were briken), they also had this BIG problem(and they also dont let yuh use it just a few times a month-************ xD) SO i thought of makeing my own script that does the same thing (even more than the original did) so yuh see it isnt a original concept but its the first one that workes 100% as yuh ask it to the other ones wouldnt obey xD (you dont know what i am talking about do yuh? xD) i know someone will try to steal it now (cuz' i tryed to steal it 2) they'll try 2 steal it more than ever knowing that it actually works better than the other 2 that are still online (the original is nomore) otiginally i used the other 2 but they didnt work as i wished so i made 1 for me and for others (mostly for me ) so there yuh have it
yuh see... haveing 80 php scripts(78 fake and 2 good), when right click is enabled or not protected they could find find the real script in no-time (right-click anywhere -> View source and yuh have the title of the page so my work would be stolen in a few seconds)
Well if you know that then you should know the difference between PHP and HTML, server side and client side, etc
Not so new that you know flash can be cracked and that your code from other sites has been ripped off. We still don't know what you are trying to protect and why you feel so strongly that you're prepared to bog down your site with nonsense frames and javascript. Anyway you're on a "hiding to nothing", put any intellectual property into your PHP script, use the output for just that. Use AJAX or posts to get new info from the server.
OK, you admit you are new to php, thats fine. What we are saying is that you don't need to protect your php source code as it can NEVER be seen by anybody. When you click "View source" you are seeing the html output of the php script rather than the script itself. Right click on this page and see if you can see any php code? This is the last I will say on the matter: You can't disable right click with php and you don't need to.
