php script licensing

    Hi is there any free php script licensing software i would like to license a script to work on a domain i set i dont want to encrypt any of the source code.

    If you're not encrypting the source code how useful is this going to be? Unless you're selling it very cheaply then someone can easily just strip out the protection.

    Or am I misunderstanding what you want?

    They maybe able to get it out but its better than nothing i was thinking of something that would report to me if the url is not in a list i set so it wont stop the site working but i will know that some 1 is useing the script that i dont no i and i did not sell to if you get what i meen.

    To solve the same type of problem I use a snippet of code to check against our client database to be sure the user exists and is authorized to use the software on a page load, otherwise the page won't load. I encrypt only the file that holds the copyright and piracy protection, and it's done.

    OK thanks and what ecryption did u use and did u not hav to put details to conect to the database or was it textbased and what file do u recomend to put this in etc do u think maybe the config at bits that dont need to be changed thanks for your reply. :)

    I am developing my own Licensing system if anyone is interested... its only going to be around $20-$30 per license.
