PHP Script for tracking keywords and banner clicks

What I want to do is find out what keywords are generating clicks on my banners and what one are not.

I'm looking for a script (hopefully under the GPL) that can track users when they enter my site. I want to store where they came from (ie search engine) and what keywords they used to get to my site. I also want to know if they clicked on any of my banner ads so the script will have to be able to process this as well. Obviously good reporting is a must.

Does anyone know of any script that does this (or part of it)?

    Thanks

Awstats provides simple solutions and keywords, why not to use them first.

    phpadsnew can probably do it.

Alternatively use Google Analytics as this can definitely do it.

I am currently looking at both

Can Google Analytics record a click on an affiliate banner ad from CJ?

If so how do I set this up? Would this be a goal? (not sure how to setup goals like this).

    Thanks for any replies...

    Thanks mad4,

I've setup a few test pages with the onlick code. Now I just have to wait until analytics gets updated to view the reports and see how the data comes in.

I'm current running phpadsnew as a test and it doesn't keep track of the referring site and any keywords used in a search.

The problem with awstats is it doesn't give me the ability to see if the keywords generated any clicks for me

    So mad4,

I'm starting to get some data now. I just set up a Goal as one of my banner onclick statements.

Will Analytics reports be able to tell me what keywords from what search engines produced banner clicks (and how many didn't)? I think this might be in the Marketer View but I do not have enough data to figure it out yet.

Also does Analytics differentiate between google search engine and google adwords clicks? (same with yahoo search engine and their PPC program)?

    Thanks again for your help.

It can tell you everything. You need to click the red button next to the url of your onlick and then drill down into the keywords.
