Hello, please really need help with opera regarding php and any page load.

I have opera 9.0. When I open a web page with opera with any php applications in the web page, Opera doesn't seem to be working right. When the page is viewed through the opera browser it doesn't refresh the first time to the page. It only refreshes when you click opera's refresh button. I really don't believe your supposed to click opera's refresh button when you first open a web page again. Can someone tell me what is happening or if I am doing something wrong? Thank you very much. Puzzled in Portal land.

Are you sure your page loads correctly on other web browsers like IE and Firefox? Your problem sounds like PHP isn't installed on your web server... but I could be wrong.

Maybe I should see if I can reset Opera back to a default in case I accidentally messed something up. Anyone now if opera has a reset to default? Thanks.

I downloaded a new version 9.21 of Opera at opera.com/download for English version number 2 and I'm having the same problem. After deleting the first one and restarting the computer. So doesn't look like its me, look likes its Opera. Hoping someone will see this that knows what is wrong.

This seems really strange to me, as I thought PHP was a server side language. The only way I know of for it to show up in a browser is if the server is functioning incorrectly or if PHP isn't installed. Of course, that should make it show up in every browser.

Could you give me the URL? I would like to take a look at it if you don't mind.

I know what you mean. It is really strange because its the same problem with any php script that changes something by time or randomly. IE and Mozilla refresh the page automatically when the page first loads. Opera isn't refreshing on page load and I can't figure out why, it seems like this should be very important for any browser to do and part of a normal procedure with php or any server side script. Heres the link, its an aquaintance site he's letting me experiment with this problem. I'll keep the link there for awhile so anyone here can see what I'm talking about. http://www.mooonbaby.com/test.php

When you first open opera to this page one number appears. When you start over and do it again or enter the page from another page, its still the same number when it should be changing. This isn't a problem of the same random number appearing twice because it happens every time. Also the other browsers are changing the number, just not opera. Plus Opera shows it will change the number but only if you click on the refresh button.

Hmmm, this seems very strange, sorry I am unable to help you more. Can you list which functions it glitches with? Just rand(); or others as well?
