I'd like to start a website similar to digg, but for music. People can favourite their songs and the top songs get listed on the homepage. So it's pretty much a central location where people can find the latest songs that other's have been enjoying. Obviously, this would require a central location of ALL songs, so to prevent duplicates etc. I've looked into Gracenote, but I'm guessing that will cost a lot. The free alternative is Freedb, and since the project will probably be done in PHP, I've found Net_CDDB. I have some experience with PHP, but not enough to implement this alone. So I'm looking for anyone who's interested in joining this project with me. It'll be a completely voluntary project, although I don't mind splitting (adsense?) revenue afterwards accordingly. Any comments? Anyone interested? Thanks!
