I am an experience Perl/PHP/MySQL developer (LAMP). I am based in Louisiana, U.S. I'm immediately available for small projects. I'm not at this time accepting larger projects because my health has been unstable and I don't want to take on any work that I may have difficulty completing due to circumstances that are beyond my control. I'm certainly not going to be the cheapest person you will find here at DP, but if you want quality work done right the first time, it's worth the extra money. My rates are currently $25/hr. Post questions here and PM me if you are interested.
The notable projects I have done have been under non-disclosure so there's not a whole lot that I can publicly discuss/show here. I actually worked for a couple of years full time for a Seattle based company that sold a LAMP product that powered early pay per click search engines. My responsibilities there included product design, customizations for customers, technical support, consulting, light system administration (linux), etc. I developed a rewards engine start to scratch which provided an online currency (points) for various activities including auctions, registrations, signups, e-mails, shopping, games, etc. It tracked more than 3,000,000 transactions per month and had a 5 level referral program. Very substantial project. I've done lots of large database conversions. I've done web based API interfaces to other systems. I've done multi-user systems. You name it, I've probably done it in some form or another. I've done tons of customizations and small projects. If you search through my iTrade, profile (threads started), etc. you'll see where I've done work here before and had many satisfied DP customers. Again, I'm not taking large projects right now because my availability over a period of time (say a week or longer) is very uncertain. If I can't turn your project around in a day or two, I won't take it because there are no guarantees I can be online any given amount of time because of health problems. And I stated that I would not be the cheapest. If you are looking for cheap, you're in the wrong thread. I used to bill $120/hr for my time so $25 is cheap for me, but I realize in DP, $25/hr is certainly not cheap. My work is what it is and it's well worth $25. I'm not interested in competing with people that are offering their time at $5 or $10 for an hour or more of work. I'm not saying you won't get quality work once in a while, but it's a crap shoot. Just search the forums here and you'll find plenty of evidence of that.
