php problems - Ameritech host

    I am trying to install the .php file so I can see Keyword Tracker results from Yahoo and MSN. I copied the php script and pasted it into Wordpad, saved it as a .txt file, then changed the extension to .php. I uploaded the file to my server as http://users.ameritech.net/knives/phpinfo.php When I enter this URL into my Keyword tracker account it returns "The advanced usage script URL is not valid." followed by a long error message.

    My IPS is Ameritech. They supposedly allow php scripts. I cannot afford to change because my website is currently #1 on Google for the keywords "knife sharpening"

    Any help appreciated.

    Are the mime types correctly setup? It should not be echoing out all of the script like it currently is. Something isn't right =\.

    I had the same problem. I was successful when I used notepad instead of wordpad.

    maybe ur host didnt support php script, try another host (so many free web host that support php script) :)

    some reference
    dd.am - no ads (but u must login into control panel atleast once a weeks)
    100webspace.com - top banner ads (cute control panel)
    or try cheap hosting on hostgator
