    Hi DP Family

I just launched an auction site for some reason I can't upload or sell items.

    Here the problem I encounter:
Warning: fopen(counter/auction_id.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/dance123/public_html/phpauction/sell.php on line 192
    Couldn't create file.

Can anybody please give some advice or help me solve this case.

Thank you and god bless DP

    Hello,

    Edit:
Actually just make sure the permissions for the counter directory and counter/auction_id.txt are set correctly.

    regards

Thanks papa_face for the quick response...

How would I know the correct permission and how can I make it correctly?

    Thanks in advance.

If you use FTP chmod the file and the directory to 755

in cpanel, go to file manager and click on the folder. on the top right hand side of the screen, click on the permissions link and set it to 755. ;)
