Php or Python

    I agree it's definitely not one for relying on. A good programmer will have experience of a few languages, if his profession is not too specific (Eg. AI and Prolog).

    Drhowarddrfine, do you focus on a particular area? I'd be interested in knowing the languages you've encountered and what you use (other than Python?) these days.

    I would have to say PHP because of its extendability and how powerful it is with the use of a database such as MYSQL. There a lot of free php frameworks out there that come with documentation like the smarty template engine which powers thousands of sites on the net. Hope this helps-

    I would prefer Python because it has all majority modules and working as in SAP. We are planning to offer Python services in future.
