    Hi

I currently use php scripts for my website, but also use flatfile txt files for the database side of things which I know is old school.

The first part of the query is:
How is it possible to convert my current flatfile txt file into mysql and for it to display the information as per the search query by the user?
And for more complexed, who & how much would it cost me for somebody to do several scripts so the database can be updated, but also display a running change of the information changed?

Whilst the current system does work (except for the last few days due to my host provider), I do want to upgrade it to something better.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

It can cost depends on work

What kind of queries they are

$20 per hour is rate which people charge

you will be able to find cheaper but that involve risk.

    Regards

As much or as little as you're willing to pay (bear in mind that you get what you pay for - $5/hour will probably not get you good quality code). I know people who charge $5/hour and those who charge $70+/hour.
