PHP Message Board for NEW website

Hey folks, first timer here sorry if I say something wrong. Anyways, I'm trying to startup a new MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) website and one of the main draws that I forsee is the Message Board. I want to have some type of rewards system for users who make good points in their posts and remove points for bad posts. Is there anyway that you guys know that this could be done with phpBB2 or vBulletin?

Sounds a lot like youre refering to the reputation system ???

vB ( this forum ) has that, not sure about phpBB <- it's rubbish

 

That's exactly what I'm looking for, but I don't have the slightest idea on how to set that up. I don't mind buying the vBulletin board if it does what I want it to do. Any ideas?

 

I'd go with vb, the support will be better when you're paying for it ......

 

I actually just setup the reputation system for my phpBB2 board, looks simple and is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the tip. I had no idea it even existed.

 

Also, is there a PHP script where I can display the last 10 posts from all of my forums on the main page of my website?
