php melody URGENT HELP with back up file

    Hi Just installed a fresh new php melody! love it [​IMG]


    some letter begger sold me a site with php melody and fecked off. HE WILL BE DELT WITH never gave me any files and shut down his hosting.

    so i decided to start a fresh have a backup file from old website what is the best way to apply backup? not sure how thanks all.

    I tried uploading to the php admin i can get admin side to work but website displays errors saying there is no file :-(

    I would probably use wordpress over what seems like an expensive cms with some nice video functionality which could probably be accomplished with a plugin in wp.

    Anyways. How is your backup structured and how was it taken? Is it a backup of the database only (an .sql file)? or does it include files and things? Was it taken from the previous melody site or was it from before the melody site was implemented?

    Most likely the sql import worked but you are missing the actual files that make up the site which the developer had created.

    yes same domain :)

    i have installed origanal so all files there it is by sql i am trying to back it up.

    If I am understanding you correctly you import the database via phpmyadmin from cpanel. Presumably, on the same domain name you should not have to change much. Someone would have to take a look if it doesn't work right.
