Search google for some basic PHP tutorials and follow them through. Your script should then start to make sense. Post specific issues here - your questions are too broad to be covered I reckon.
if you visit /RateMyRide its a whole stand along site. I want to take the middle portion out where u can vote for pictures and place that on the hp. could I just do a <?php include 'to that particluar php page' php? I also want to put my links on this page to navigate back to my hp.. do you know where i should edi tthat to make it look right?
you will need such script that will render the whole body for rating system, not just that include tag, maybe someone else can help you ?? not me, for joomla, of course, standalone, you will need to find someone else.
