Hi, I'm trying to open a .torrent file with a header redirect as such: header('Location:'.$torrentRow[3].'.torrent'); PHP: However sometimes this is unsucessfull and isntead of opening the .torrent file as a downloaded file it will open the source view of the file in the browser. How can I stop this? Thanks
Ok, is there anything I can put into .htaccess so the file can't be opened directly? The weird thing is it works sometimes and also in other browsers, heres an example: http://torrentpearl.com/torrent/Luigi_Boccherini_Symphonies_op_35_41_42_Akademie_fur_Alte_Musik_Berlin
Why don't you want people knowing the actual .torrent URL? I got the source at http://torrentpearl.com/download/Lu..._41_42_Akademie_fur_Alte_Musik_Berlin.torrent I'm not sure why. The PHP seems like a normal redirect, all it does is change the URL the visitor is visiting, so it's something other than the PHP.
Yes, the source. Maybe your file only partially uploaded, or your are hotlinking incorrectly, but it's not the redirect.
check this out http://www.phpit.net/code/force-download/ It sounds to me like you need to force the download of that torrent.
I'm not a torrenting person, but don't they have a different sort of protocol? Some browsers may not know how to handles them, and instead just offer it up to be downloaded. If not that, the post above me looks promising ~Jeremy~
