PHP files are being Prompt to download

    hi
    i am trying my localhost on mac with xampp. i have recently got a new .htaccess file from my boss which is working perfectly on windows but on mac its causing browser to prompt download php file.
    any help is appreciated.

    apache isnt compiled properly if its making you download the files.
