PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()

    I keep getting this error in the Apache error log. It claims that mysql_connect is an undefined function. Say WHAT?! Here is the error again, pasted right from the error log:

    PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\\Program Files\\Apache Software Foundation\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\connect.php on line 3

    Has anyone else encountered this error? I don't know where to look for help!

    BTW, this is Apache HTTP Server 2.2 with PHP 5 attempting to connect to MySQL Server 5.0 on a Pentium 1 running Windows 2000 SP4.
