I have been developing a Joke Website and will be selling the script soon, i want to encode the files so the script is not illegally duplicated as i will be selling it for single domain use.

I have looked into encoding software and was drawn to Sourcecop mainly due to the low price, $30 it should be able to encode the script and lock it to a server ip, it seems good to me, I have seen some free online services, but would like to know if anyone has used sourcecop or if anyone has any other suggestions.

    Thanks.

I haven't used any of them but I know sourceguardian has a demo you can try.

    Goodluck!

The only encoder I have ever heard of is Ioncube or something. Not much knowledge on them but since I had only heard of that one it lead me to believe it was the most popular.

I would use Ioncube and a auto licensing system such as Iono or PHP Audit.

Thats would be the best bet to protect your script.
