    I'm pretty fond of ultra edit. There would be too many useful features to list. Just google it.

    Textpad is a great text editor that runs on Windows. I use it for writing php, perl and tcl programs.

    the name looks like a software for the PSP. is this there a good PHP IDE for the PSP out there, because i could really use a PHP editor while im on the go :)

    There is an awesome PHP Editor on Windows. Just open Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad

    Works wonders :)

    I find Notepad and PHP.net is great for coding.. or gedit (or pico/vi in CLI mode) in Linux works great as well.

    If your looking for something which does pretty colours... JEdit is a good one to use.

    I think Winsyntax is probably the best of the simple editors out there. It's as lightweight as Notepad and has highlighting and line count. That's really all you need. ;)

    I'd say notepad++ highlighting for many languages, line numbers (indespensible in my oponion). Conversions between windows unix mac file formats.
