    I prefer Notepad++ but it's not really a PHP-only IDE. Rapid PHP is useful too.

    Zend Studio is the best PHP IDE available in the market. Dreamweaver is really good if you need to work on multiple technologies e.g. PHP, coldfusion, ASP.Net etc. You can give a try eclipse as well.

    I've used Notepad++ for two years. btw, SciTE is also a good one.
