php configuration setting help

    hai folks

    i am hosted on a shared hosting

    i try to make the php_value safe_mode Off though a .httaccess file.
    if i do that i get the internal server error.

    i just want to turn off php_value safe_mode for a script to run.

    pls help.

    This depends on the server configuration. If your host allow to override value via .htaccess then only you can override it. Otherwise you may receive an error. Your host can assist further in this regard.

    i contacted them and they enable it for me.
