But you also have to edit the .htaccess. I know some php, but I still think I will screw up, so I am looking for a php coder.

Please, let me know, if this hasn't been taken care of yet. If you want both versions to work, then .htaccess modification should be enough. If you want only new version to be in place, then both .htaccess and script modification is needed.
