PHP classified ad script

Does anyone kow of a decent classified ad script? I'd prefer one thats free as I plan on offering free classifieds. Just needs the basics: categories, images would be nice, place for users to add their classified, admin area for me to delete old ones etc.

    Thanks

looks good, but while I will offer free classifieds, free articles and free forums, I will offer paid advertising in a business directory and ads on the site. I may not be classified as non commercial. I'll email them to find out.

    thanks

you might be better off writing your own up. In fact, thats what I always suggest.. nothing like it. I wrote up a small webapp for classifieds a couple years back, and its secret lies in passing hidden form fields for storing the date it was published, running a midnight cron job daily to cross reference those days, and having the cron point to a file that allows the ad to only run for x amount of days. After the time is up, have the record get categorized as "inactive" in the db and voila.

That will be construed as commercial. Even putting advertisements is considered commercial. Anyway, let us in on the reply from deltascripts.

phpclassifieds is pleasing to the eyes and I use them as well. I suggest you grow your site, then pay deltascripts $169 and charge your users. If you charge instantly, there is a high possibility that your visitors will not return.

not everyone does programming so getting a script for non-programmers will be a very much wiser choice...

I could fairly easily program it myself, but would rather spend my time on paid projects or other aspects of this site. Besides it would probably take a fair amount of time to duplicate some of the handy features from a premade system.

If you're looking for a craigslist clone check out bestcraigslistclone.com saw it listed in another thread. Looks decent from what I can see.
