Script: 1) Should be installed on linux php server 2) Have simple interface 3) Should read text file, one domain per row. Domains may or may not start with www, http://. Strip these before processing. Ignore empty strings and capitalization. 4) Ping 3 times, if 2 times are "timed out", put domain in inactive list. Otherwise, put in "active". Create a ping queue, not to overload/abuse server. Show progress in the script. Script shoud eat up files like 5000 strings or so. 5) Export active and inactive lists to the directory where the script is installed.
