PHP and Search Engines

I was just looking over one of my newer sites and was wonderin if anyone could give me their opinion and possibly a workaround on this issue.

If you look at www.infonewsline.com and then click on a category it shows that it is done in PHP and has an article ID. If you look at a competitor like www.articlecity.com then you dont see this. Instead it was done in SHTML.

My fear is that www.infonewsline.com will not be spidered properly by G or given any kind of PR.

I would welcome anyone elses thoughts on this so i can get it right.

If you really want a .shtml extension then look at the mod write forums

You really should not worry. I have a handful of No.1 rankings in all the major search engines and they all have .php extension the information you read about file extensions is outdated.

PM me if you really want to see high ranking .php files in SERPs or simply place keywords in search engines and a lot of .php sites will show up

i have not really noticed any difference between html pages and php pages... a link is a link as far as the search engines are concerned
