photoshop template [newbie question]

    im a newbie when it comes to photoshop web templates

    my question:

    if your making a professional web template in ps. , what do you use to make the layout:
    marquee tools
    or
    do you use shapes

    does it matter which one you use??

    depends what effects you want etc.

    It dose not really matter as you can do the same with each one.

    I find the shape easier to use tho.

    I tend to use the marquee rectangle tool.
