Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts

    Hi all, for those of you who are good with photshop and mult-screened find it easier to use shortcuts however this is not the case with newbies so here is a list of shortcuts to help you get started.

    • + – Add Shape
    • - – Subtract Shape
    • / – Preserve Transparency (toggle)
    • [ - Decrease Brush Size
    • ] – Increase Brush Size
    • Shift+ [ - Decrease Brush Softness by 25%
    • Shift+ ] – Increase Brush Hardness by 25%
    • < – Previous Brush
    • > – Next Brush
    • Shift+ < – First Brush
    • Shift+ > – >Last Brush
    • 1 → 0 – Tool Opacity 10% → 100%
    • Shift+1 → 0 – Flow / Airbrush Opacity 10% → 100%

    wow!.. .this is quite a list.. .but i guess you can only use a few of them.. .i only use, zoom in-out, save as, inverse select, deselect among others.. . :-D

    Well I have been using photoshop for 3 years now and I still haven't used them all, it is
    a vast program to learn and not even the pros and pros. But glad you enjoy.

    The best thing is that you can bind your own shortcuts. For example I always bind useful function to shortcuts like Ctrl + Q which is very convenient, but the default function is ridiculous - Quit Photoshop :D you must be kidding me.. it's like I do this every five minutes.

    Your welcome :) You know, my favorite shortcut is Hide Extras (if I recall correctly). Indispensable when after selecting anything and want to adjust that selection but without seeing the selection border itself, which distracting attention.

    some more Photoshop shortcuts to go...

    alt+ right arrow= to increase spaces b/w each character
    alt+ left arrow = to decrease spaces b/w each character
    space+ right click = fir on screen/actual pixel/ print size
    ctrl+shift+alt+S = preview for web
    ctrl + (ctrl + plus key) = zoom in
    ctrl - (ctrl + minus key )= zoom out
    ctrl 0 = (ctrl + zero key ) = fit on screen
