photoshop issue

    i am using photoshop cs3 i have seen a new symbol
    can anyone give some idea about this symbols

    Those are rotation point markers (or something in that range, I forget the exact name). In a nutshell, they tell Photoshop to rotate around that 'dot' when you rotate the layer. They've been there for quite some time.

    By default, they appear in the middle of the layer when transforming but can simply be moved around by clicking and dragging.
