PhotoShop Design Review

Greetings, could I get some feedback on this design?
I just created it in PhotoShop for a game I am coding.
What do you think?
Also keep in mind that the Banner and Random Images will rotate every time someone views the page.

Thats too simple design. Give navigation in navbar area not in sidebar with javascript is more better

 

The fonts are too plain. To be a successful designer you will NEED to exceed what comes with Windows. Just how it is.

In comparasion, I have 700+ fonts.

 

Yeah fonts a bit boring. getting there though.

 

It just needs to be a bit more unique!

 

Any other suggestions?
And Forever_Peon the reason I have a sidebar navigation is because when they login that entire side will be full of links.

My main reason I kept it simple is because I believe the simpler the better. Once the user logs in there are already TONS of images to load, so I figure it easy to keep it simple and clean.

check out yootheme and joomla - and make same site as in my sig and many others so easily - perfect for that style of graphics

 

I'm not a big fan of using the HTML table borders on your design.

 

1. If you read, that is a photoshop image, there are no tables.
2. I don't use tables when I code unless it is 100% necessary. Read or don't reply.

It is a simple design but quite effective, Text is very bland but it depends if you want the game to look simple and easy to play.

 

i would say that the header would look amazing with flash and stars effect
