How nice do you want them to look like? ;)

Yes, you can use that version. Honestly, if you can get a cheap PS7, I'd go with that. There are less layer styles and brushes you can load on them, but hey, if you're not a crazy professional in the industry it can work fine ;)

    Yes photoshop you definately want!

Also make sure to get Macromedia Dreamweaver for your coding needs!

I want them to look as nice as possible :D. Is photoshop 8 better? Should I hold out for CS3.? :D

P.S. I have frontpage. But 72 backgrounds and buttons with terrible graphics is not my cup of tea.

    The latest is the best

P.S: For tutorials, there are really neat ones that are compatible for the old versions too.. but sure, why not go for the latest :)

How familiar are you with photoshop BTW?

you gotta love photoshop and their ability to slice graphics cause you can use anything to code the site :D

Haha, front page is okay, I love the HTML notepad (I code by hand! It's scarey I know..)

No.. just design.. and sliced up images (you slice up the images so you can code it later with.. whatever program you chose to use)
