How nice do you want them to look like? Yes, you can use that version. Honestly, if you can get a cheap PS7, I'd go with that. There are less layer styles and brushes you can load on them, but hey, if you're not a crazy professional in the industry it can work fine
Yes photoshop you definately want! Also make sure to get Macromedia Dreamweaver for your coding needs!
Dreamweaver front page works well too. But for NICE designs, photoshop is a must. Coding programs.. you can use any!
I want them to look as nice as possible . Is photoshop 8 better? Should I hold out for CS3.? P.S. I have frontpage. But 72 backgrounds and buttons with terrible graphics is not my cup of tea.

Also make sure to get dreamweaver 8. It is the leading coding software most people use. I would die without it lol. you gotta love photoshop and their ability to slice graphics cause you can use anything to code the site Haha, front page is okay, I love the HTML notepad (I code by hand! It's scarey I know..)
No.. just design.. and sliced up images (you slice up the images so you can code it later with.. whatever program you chose to use)
