Honestly there is like not a big difference in it lol besides the gui. Have yall found any new things in cs3 that i havent?
Well.. CS3 takes too much load to your PC.. I don't know why. It is heavier than CS2. I have the retail version of Creative Suite Premium (CS3). And it's GUI is more good looking with some little changes.. nothing special. You can check the photoshop website for all the latest features in CS3.
try looking at vanishing point 2.0, smart filters (non-damaging), as well as many other new features.
You didnt look around in CS3 did you? you only clicked on the tools you already known since CS2? But have you the other stuff then? I havent used CS3 yet, so I cant say whats new
i never had cs2, my last version was 7, and im amazed with cs3, great program. but again i cant compare the two, but im happy with cs3
If you're just a basic user of photoshop, you won't find any differences between the two so if you're considering one version or the other, it shouldn't matter as much.
why would yoou spend more money on third party plugins to do things that photoshop has integrated already to accomplish the same exact thing? i like spending money don't get me wrong but i like to think i spend it wisely.
try looking at the difference in brightness/contrast layers, you will notice a huge difference in the two...
Yea but those arnt really considered major changes to me, I mean i use them but they dont matter to much to me lol
Haven't upgraded to 'PS CS3' yet but i've heard that 'PS CS3 extended' can edit 3D content and compositing (much like after effects) and has the Smart Filters(wow, even filters can be non-destructive).
Oh wow I will deff look into that! I would love to edit 3D content, how do you tell if yo have the extended one? i have the CS3 Design Premium Set, do i have the extended one? lol
Filters, like USM, can be non-destructive if you apply them to a copy layer ... then you get to mask parts away, too.
I gotta agree with you (thread creator)... I don't think there are many changes noticeable to the average user. I really don't think its worth upgrading if you're not an advanced user of Photoshop. Ed
I got CS3 and I have only found a few new thing =\ I can try looking but.... Lazy. I still do the same things as CS2 only cause I recenty got CS3 (1 week ago). Its pretty much the same as CS2 i think.
