Alright so I have decided to step over to the world of creative design. Before I was just all about free templates and blah blah. I want to create my own masterpiece which is 100 percent original and 100 percent genuine. I totally respect you guys more now too because I have been trying to figure this out for the past two weeks. Alright so it is my understanding that you can design a website in Photoshop transfer it to like IMage Ready or something and then put it into Dreamweaver...now I understand there are thousands of tutorials out there that can help me butt...im wondering how hard it is? I mean is it really a teadious process once you finish the picture? Is slicing and dicing and the transfer that difficult? The reason I ask is because I am about to try to go this direction. Also I dont know if this is the right area for this or not...but is it still easy to SEO it and can it affect that kind of thing...like SEO...are you better off designing your own? I am VERY excited about this...I want something that I can be proud of you know...its not something that I bought and its not something that I found. I think that I would work my hardest to keep the company afloat this way. Time is more valuable than money in my eyes. Thank you for whatever help you can give me...even if your advice is give up or whatever....
Hi, Good that you have UPGRADED yourself to do design + coding work(basic HTML). First of all, when you slice your design with imageready, you need to know what to slice and where to slice. This can't be explainable but somehow you get the idea. After slicing your images, optimized save as a web page. Once saved, you will have a folder and htm pages at your particular folder you've choosen to save at. Now go to Dreamweaver, open the index.htm, BOOM*** you have your first photoshop design in dreamweaver. BUT.......... this is not the final stuff yet. you have to make and edit those as they are in pictures so you CAN'T input any text. The second thing to do is to make those pictures as a background. This enable you to input text on a particular area that you wanted. Try this steps first. A more advanced step is to use CSS. HOPE THIS HELPS!
