    Hi,

Im looking for some suggestions in relation to copyright of photographs on a website.
    ie
My site, my photos, where do I stand if I find someone using my photos

Also, apart from watermarking, what other options are there for protecting images?

    Thankyou in advance :)

If someone is using your photographs then you can ask them to stop, or you can agree to them using them with your choice of copyright notice. It's your choice, but if they won't respect your wishes then of course you can take legal action against them.

Watermarking is the obvious safeguard, and "invisible watermark" systems like digimarc can help find offenders. You can disable right-click, or show the image as a background to prevent casual theft, but there aren't many (any?) ways to deter a determined thief.

Try the visible cut across the photo watermark too, this will helps prevent people from stealing your photo but then it is quite urgly though. I prefer people to put my photo on their site "with" my website on it. That's a big selling point of having photo on other's people site.
