Hi There,

I'm selling a content site I developed last year at http://www.photographybash.com - This is a digital photography site which has a lot of potential. The domain itself is over a year old, and has fantastic branding possibilities. It has been renewed until 16th Feb 2008.

The search phrase "photography" gets searched for over 300,000 times a month according to overtures suggestion box, and this site is perfectly setup for search engine rankings if time was put into promoting it properly. The site also has potential for adsense, affiliate programs, lead generation or as landing pages for other related projects you may have.

It has been designed to use Server Side Includes throughout. So adding ads, content etc to all of the pages (and in various locations on the page) is very quick and straightforward.

The pages have also been html optimised (ie run through a code shrinking program) so the pages load really fast. Which is better for your visitors.

Zero work has gone into promoting this site, so there is no traffic or income, but you do get the domain name and all the content (articles from directories).

My reasons for selling are simple. I have neither the time or the inclination to promote it, as I have other projects to pursue.

This is an auction, but the first person to BIN gets the site and domain name. The domain name is registered at godaddy.com so I will need to transfer it to your account. You will need a free godaddy account for me to transfer the domain name to you. No I won't transfer to other registrars.

This one won't last long. Digital Photography is a fast growing market and this could be your foothold into it.

I just checked with copyscape and google. Seems that the content is NOT unique :-(

 

No. It is from article directorys, but there is a lot of it. It has approximately 250 pages.

The bottom line is that if the articles on that site were unique then it would be a lot more expensive then $250.

Unique or not it needs the same thing. Time spent promoting it. And if you are only spending $250 on the site itself then you should have plenty of resources to do that.

 

I know what you mean... but there isn't any revenue... so will be hard to sell it for that high price because not unique content neither..

 

Its:

1/ A good domain.
2/ Aged a year and has almost a year to run.
3/ Has a site built on it that is built using server side includes so is easy to put new stuff on the page.
4/ Is in a growing area and offers an easy opportunity to have a ready made site in the area of photography.

Value is obviously relative. So I totally respect what value someone else chooses to put on sites.

To my mind though this is a fair price.

If it had revenue and unique content it would be more. It doesn't. So it isn't.
