Photo Retouching Site Review Request

I have a steady income from Adsense, and for fun decided to have a go at providing an actual service over the web...retouching of digital photos. The business results have not been as exciting as I hoped, so I'm hoping to get some suggestions here.

The site is 39 9 retouch . com, without the spaces. It's currently sandboxed, so traffic has to be purchased. There are lookers, but not enough buyers.

Any website suggestions would be welcomed!

Well, first it took a while to load for me. Not horribly long, but not fast. I expected the words on the left side to be links but they arent, and then I'm confused as to WHERE the links for more information and whatnot is.

You need some sort of navigation and a way for people to fill out a form to contact you, not just through email.

Looks good, though. Good luck with it.

less of the red as it is too overpowering and use Css to format the look of your website.

I wasn't too bothered by the red, I felt that the site was clean and things were easy to focus on (my gaze lasted more than just a few seconds, so I compliment you on that. But please recondsider your coding methods ~ think seriously about using an XHTML based coding with an external style sheet (CSS). There are heaps of free CSS templates out there and you'll find changing/updating/redesigning the site far far easier in the future.

Nice design, I actually like it because it puts the point across quickly.

Good luck with your site. :)

    (ps. nice retouching work)

    Thanks Everyone!

brenda003, thank you for noticing that the site took a long time to load...I discovered that two of the JPEGs on the index page were way too big. I re-saved them with increased compression and reduced bytes by over 100K!

A couple of the pages already used a CSS stylesheet and I began changing others to also.

The html of the index page, done by someone else, looks screwy to me and I need to go back and re-write some parts of it. Right now, linking from the index page is non-trivial...that is why there is a text link at the bottom to go to the next page. I'll try to change the red to something less garish when I do that.

    Once again, thanks!
