Photo purchase

    if i am using the picture of a celebrity or a politician for my website, do i need to buy it or can i just download and use it? i just don't want any legal hassles.

    Depends upon where you get the photo from. Some are public domain, some are licensed, no one-size-fits-all answer.

    It still all depends upon the type of image, ie whether or not the creator releases it for public use or requires other "compensation"
