Hi all. It's funny, every day I get a few emails from organizations pretending to be paypal & amazon. These emails are designed to spoof your username and password. Basically, the email will look very similar to an email generated from paypal or amazon payments. Then they will have links in them, where you can log into your account. That is the problem Those links are not real. They will take u to a fabricated login page. If you login, your password will get stolen. The Best Way MANUALLY TYPE IN THE URL, IN A NEW BROWSER WINDOW. I wrote a paper on web security back in school and put it on the web at http://www.websecuritytip.com/ for people that want to know more.
generally i don't open a paypal email inless im either expecting it or it has something to do with a despute or something. other than that i just delete them
If you don't want to delete them outright, then forward them to: Not sure of the other spoof addresses. Hopefully these forwards will help their internet "detectives" track some of these hoodlums down.
